About my class

I am trying to create a family and community engagement center. This room will consist of myself (Parent/ Family Support Ambassador) and our Community Interventions Specialist. We are trying to create a resource space for parents to come meet with us to voice their concerns and use our resource computer to organize their home lives. In addition this space will be used for clubs and groups that my self as well as other staff will be creating as time passes. Around 80% of students who attend Encina are in poverty, high trauma, and in risk children. Creating a space for them to learn empathy, coping skills, and emotional regulation would be highly beneficial. With the supplies I have requested, it would help this space feel more comfortable and get us started with putting on our first few events.
