I support students with below grade level reading skills who desperately need high interest, low reading level books for middle grade students. My school book room is filled with books for on-grade level reading and already claimed by classes. The Amazon list attached includes top recommendations to engage my unique group of students as dictated by my Media Center specialist (librarian). All children love stories, mine simply need the materials to engage and grow their budding reading skills. Books that are both relevant and entertaining will draw my lower-level reading students and aide in developing their skills to meet the goal of grade level test scores by the end of the school year.
