To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use these materials to make a difference in my students' education. They would use hands-on, creative, problem-solving skills to think outside the box when using these supplies. My students need different types of blocks to use their creativity in the classroom, and this project would make an upcoming unit more engaging! My students would love receiving this project! It will make a positive impact in their education and will meet their learning needs to engineer and create. These various types of blocks will support my bear cubs' social and emotional wellbeing during this pandemic-impacted school year. When children are playing and building together, not only are they learning engineering and mathematical skills, they are learning how to communicate and problem-solve with each other. Building with blocks helps many students regulate their emotions and relieve stress and anxiety. Research has shown various times how STEAM positively impacts students' cognitive development. It helps students grow in math, science, and literacy. This project will support children who attend a district where 60% of the population receives free and reduced lunch. To bring my dream learning activity to life, I would love to get these various types of blocks and hands-on materials, along with storage tubs to keep the items organized and easy to find for my students. My students will be overjoyed with more learning supplies!
