The requested microscope is to increase understanding of scientific subjects. Many of the students have only been reading lessons online or listening to lectures in person, but they haven't had the hands-on experience to cement this information into a desire for further studies. Many of my students struggle to want to attend school because they are so far behind in the core subjects. Many were struggling in Math and English before COVID hit and they only fell further behind without the consistent tutelage of a teacher. When the students attend school, they try their best, so I have requested workbooks to send home to get the students caught up. The charging cart would also increase the efficiency of the charging and storage station. The current setup of charging our classroom laptops has increased the lost classroom time, due to how long it takes to connect the chargers to the computers. In addition, if a student must take their laptop home (due to quarantine), it is complete chaos to actually unplug the charger.
