About my class

COVID-19 has impacted my students' social emotional learning. These wonderful children need the support of loving teachers and activities they enjoy to be able to open up and feel safe with their emotions. My students struggle every day to understand their emotions and need help learning how to manage them. These young children love books and having them read aloud. They become very focused on the stories and learning from them. We do fun learning activities with the books we read in our class to reinforce their newly learned skills. The progress these students have made has been tremendous and they are feeling more able to regulate their own emotions. They need continued support and motivating activities to continue with this progress. They will love and respond well to the concepts shared in the My Dragon and A Little Spot books!
