Children in special education have diverse needs and learning styles. As COVID-19 has interrupted their learning cycles, they need a classroom with the tools they need to feel comfortable, safe, motivated, and able to learn in their own way. These students are already at a disadvantage academically and socially. COVID-19 has been hardest on students with special needs more than any other student population, and, yet, they have been resilient, positive, and adaptive. It is time we get them back on track providing a classroom environment that meets their individual needs and offers them a safe learning environment in which to attain great outcomes. These materials will help do just that. Alternative seating allows students to find a place where they are comfortable and can focus to participate in the learning process. Books that are engaging and encourage creativity, imagination and inspiration help them to think, absorb and demonstrate their own processing of lessons, ideas and themes. Tool such as the microphones and headsets allow them to use assistive technology to access curriculum and materials while blocking out distractions. Students with special needs need a classroom equipped to meet their social, emotional and learning needs to be successful in the academic setting and in life outside of the classroom. These materials will help meet the diverse learning needs of exceptional students.
