I will use the materials funded such as the STEAM Park to increase motivation and learning for students with speech and language disabilities. The requested materials will help target and increase participation in articulation (speech), language processing, and receptive and expressive language activities. The above skills all have a direct impact on academic functioning with peers and teachers in the regular education curriculum and classroom. My students typically need visual and hands-on engagement to encourage repeated drill practice for learning new concepts and skills related to speech and language. Manipulatives and age-appropriate games help to accomplish this with my students.

About my class
