With this project, I will be able to supplement my students' online learning in addition to planning an in-person leadership conference for our school's student leaders and our school's incoming prospective students. I teach three leadership classes a day. Lead 1 is about students learning about themselves and their leadership potential. Leadership 2 is about team work. Leadership 3 is about following passions and growing in leadership roles into college and the workplace. My Leadership 3 students are planning a conference for the potential leaders on our campus as their final leadership project. These students will participate in all planning of the event which will also include students from our feeder pattern middle school. With the technology requested in this project, my students will be able to use technology that may be found in college classrooms and the workplace to make their conference and presentations more professional and engaging. My goal is to give students the same resources they may find in college and in the workplace to boost their confidence when they choose to lead in the future. Many students have said they are intimidated when it comes to holding the attention of their audience at our leadership conference. With the items I am requesting in addition to items I already have, they will be able to plan and implement dynamic presentations for small groups, break-out sessions, and large groups. Students will be able to digitize presentation materials as well as provide a more interactive experience during our leadership conference. I will be able to provide a more professional, organized environment for students as we explore the world of leadership in high school and how the skills extend into the work place.
