Having a classroom full of readers has led to deep thinkers. The materials that I have asked for will allow my students to read the novels they desire! Many of the titles I have asked for are in high demand and students find themselves waiting weeks to check out these novels. By receiving these texts, more students will have the opportunity to read these desired series. They will be placed in my classroom library where students know the rules and procedures to check out and care for these books. I have been able to choose novels that will allow students to read at their appropriate level. Students will be able to enjoy these novels during independent reading and when they finish assignments. They will be able to choose from a variety of text that will reach many interests. Reading leads to thinking and I have a classroom of deep thinkers this year! They are inquisitive and smart and the extensions activities that I have asked for will be used after assignments are complete. The items will keep them engaged and thinking during free time!
