Students will feel empowered when they are able to choose where to work on assignments in the classroom. Students will stay engaged in learning when they are comfortable. Students feel like they have some control over their learning when they are able to choose how they learn. Flexible seating allows students to work together in cooperative learning groups. Wobble seats help students who are always on the go and they are able to stay focused on learning. Flexible seating creates a student centered learning environment and a positive classroom. Allowing students to choose which flexible seating place is best for them, allows the student control of their learning. Some of my students feel overwhelmed in the general education classroom and they need a place to calm down and feel comfortable.
