These resources will give me visuals and manipulatives, which will increase engagement and learning of academic English in my classrooms. Our state standards says a child will begin to ask and answer complex questions. All of these materials will help achieve this standard. We will use the storytelling books and manipulatives during whole group story time. The visuals/manipulatives motivate the students to talk about and retell the stories using their own words. The social emotional storytelling kit will allow small group lessons and discussions, as the students learn the words to use to describe their feelings.
