A document camera has endless uses in a first-grade classroom ranging from projecting math manipulatives for all to see from anywhere in the room to modeling writing and reading strategies with real books. The best use by far is for students to be able to share their own projects and work with their peers for all to see clearly as they present. A new class set of functional headphones would be a dream for when students are working through their digital assignments and taking state tests on their one-to-one Chromebooks.
