Social-emotional skills are easy for most of us. For a child with autism, it's a daily struggle. With time and support, children with autism CAN develop social skills. Some of the important skills they will be learning through these social support materials include play skills (car, truck and toy bin), problem-solving skills (Fairy Tales Stem Kit), emotional skills (Dealing with Feelings Board Book Collection, Grab/Write Social Emotional Promps, Art and craft supplies) and conversation skills (Heavy Duty Rhythm Set, Sensory Ball Kit, Charades for Kids Game, Rainbow Stack Ball Track). Social skills can affect a person's future life. The development of these skills is crucial to navigating daily life. The children in my class with ASD fail to pick up on these kinds of subtleties. Please support me in helping them obtain the social skills necessary for navigating through society.
