Currently, the only resource I was given to teach 6th grade Science was a book, but this is not a comprehensive way to learn and appreciate Science. In order to fully explore Science, students need hands-on experiences. These lab supplies will enrich and engage my students in their learning, while also providing an element of excitement. Through the use of these materials, my students will be able to truly learn about minerals, rocks, types of soil, and plant and animal cells by experiencing them, and not just reading about them. These lab materials will definitely enhance the learning environment in my classroom.
