My students love science. They are learning about biology in their reading program which references a microscope. My students would benefit from having a microscope and slides to explore in their classroom. None of my students have seen a microscope. They have only seen photos of microscopes and how they work. My students' favorite activity of the week is science. They practice keeping science journals and making predictions about outcomes. Having a microscope and set of slides to explore will broaden their experience and create excitement about science and technology as a career choice in the future.
