My learners will be excited with their new novel selection as we, together, explore the journeys of characters that challenge our thinking. These book titles are new and relevant to the experiences of a 21st century learner that doesn't know a life without touch screens. My goal is to provide a window into a world they wonder about, while connecting them with characters of whom they can relate. Our Media Specialist assisted me in selecting books that are of great interest to my students; yet are limited in their number and availability. The multi-cultural book selections will be used to facilitate small group book clubs during lunch and during our reading weekly enrichment sessions.
