These materials will help kids learn more about the identities of the culturally diverse students in their classrooms, as well as the histories that make them who they are. Lots of these texts will support our dive into Black History Month with Black Excellence as our lens. The additional materials (art and building supplies) will allow students to demonstrate their learning, understanding, and connections through building and creating. These materials will bring learning to ALL students too, as all 6 and 7-year-olds can access and engage in play, with or without words.
