A classroom rug is an important learning center in the classroom. The classroom rug is really the center of the classroom. Most of our learning takes place on the classroom rug. When students come together as a class on the classroom rug many skills are being developed and friendships are built. Carpet time supports academic and social emotional skills. On the classroom rug, students will start and end their day at the rug. This rug will reinforce their alphabet knowledge, help students establish boundaries in finding their own space, and assist with daily routines. This rug will provide a welcoming environment for current and future students.
