As location, location, location is to real estate; repetition, repetition, repetition is to learning. With two educators in a class simultaneously, each can be leading a group during center rotation. This is a fantastic opportunity to target students needs with greater specificity and intentionality. Because our students are digital learners; opportunities for meaningful screen time can truly boost both their academic and social emotional needs. Students can put themselves through the paces of mindful moments online, and then can segue into online activities to underpin, further explain, or provide opportunities to practice or extend what they are learning with the teacher. Websites like Lexia, Epic, Zearn, iReady, and the like can certainly boost student access to content on grade level and beyond. Having these Chromebooks at the ready in the class will certainly help us as we prepare our scholars - not just for second grade; but for their lives ahead.
