My students are average 5th graders in a public school in Illinois. They really enjoy challenging themselves when they can. As their teacher, I have tried to encourage them to explore a variety of books and genres. They enjoy reading all kinds of books including poetry, action, adventure, mystery, fiction and non-fiction. Since they have entered 5th grade they have learned that the books are becoming more challenging. It is my job to help them learn to love to read and keep it that way!
