I am lucky to have been chosen as the designated teacher of of the fourth grade gifted cluster. They have read many of the popular series such as Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. I've created two literature circle groups of eight students each. They read, they have different group jobs, and they run themselves. The leader summarizes and gives the group assignments, Then there's the locater, the illustrator, the question maker, etc. who help to make the reading more comprehensible. Our school is has a diverse population of around 400 students and has a rating of "900" in the California Standards Test. We are also applying for the California Distinguished School title.
