The items selected for this are focused on getting materials in the students hands, and they can not share due to CDC requirements. The requested books have beautiful illustrations that will encourage engagement in reading comprehension lessons. Headphones will be utilized to meet the individual reading and math needs of students by having them listen carefully to online independent intervention and acceleration software programs. The students and classroom will also be benefited through the gift of the classroom supplies. These supplies will help the room run more efficiently enabling students to focus more on curriculum. The requested wash and cure machine will provide a safer method to utilize a 3d printer. The wash and cure machine will help students to safely combine all of the components of STEAM. Students will have a creative opportunity to combine science, math, and art in creating a 3d computer model. They will then have the unique opportunity to see their model created in front of their eyes. All of the requested items will help to create a better and safer learning environment. The hope of the items is to help create situations that will peak student interests in many different subjects. The reading books will allow students to hold paper books in their hands. Many of my students come from impoverished homes that may not be able to provide this simple luxury. The students will also be given opportunities to see how math and science can be applied to real life situations. Learning this will hopefully give them more desire to pursue their potential of becoming amazing young men and women.
