For a year and a half, students were learning online from the comforts of their own homes. When students returned to school for in-person learning in the fall, some of their laptops did not return with them. As a result, my school and district have been suffering from a laptop shortage! Donations to this project will give my students access to online learning platforms like IXL, ST Math, and Lexia, and opportunities to present their learning outcomes in different ways. With laptops in the classroom, my students will have the chance to engage in online learning activities that are interactive and aligned to their individual learning goals. My students will also have the option to type out written responses, record videos or podcasts, create digital art or presentations, and complete research projects! Without access to laptops, my students are robbed of the opportunity to learn and build the academic and technological skills needed to navigate the 21st century.
