These materials and resources will be helping make a difference in our student's ability to alleviate the symptoms experienced by mental health issues. Research shows social-emotional learning as a successful tool and using noise-canceling headphones, stress balls, and fight spinners should be incorporated into the academic environment as they help recalibrate students and find relief. As Mr. Rogers said, "if it's mentionable, it's manageable." Learning to deal with overwhelming emotions and new situations can be a valuable tool as they grow into young adults. Since Covid, Nationwide students are .showing a regression in social-emotional learning, and the need for social workers and resources in the classroom is greatly in need.
