I work for a school in recovery. For years, it's been struggling to become accredited by the state and test scores are severely low, particularly reading. My classroom lacks leveled readers (books appropriate for each reading level). Due to the pandemic and other circumstances, most of my students read below grade level (pre-k - 2nd grade). As a district, it has been decided that we will focus on intervention for our students and as a result, intervention or leveled readers are needed. These materials will increase motivation for students by providing them with books they can read by themselves or with little assistance.
