The teachers at Campbell Middle School are creating a safe, engaging space for students and providing them sensory stimulation, support for emotional development, and a place for them to practice coping skills and emotional regulation strategies. Research shows that multi-sensory rooms improve cognitive development, encourage socialization, and provide motor skills development with practice. Sensory rooms stimulate the senses to meet students' sensory needs. Sensory rooms are ideal spaces to manage and activate the senses. Our multi-sensory room will be an immersive experience for students through lighting, sound, objects and textures.

About my class
