My students come from one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the Bay Area. My students thrive with activities that require collaboration and especially the interaction. This past year our district faced a forty million dollar deficit that caused us to have a working science department budget of zero! I'm used to paying for much of my class expenses on my own already, but I need some help with the equipment associated with keeping a class interesting. I have some of the sweetest kids you'll ever meet and when they rise above the odds, I am proud of being a part of their success. I've noticed every opportunity I offer my students, there are always more than a few students that just run with it and it ends up changing their lives.
