Welcome to science, a class that is interesting and engaging, when participation is possible, especially the science labs. My students have a variety of learning preferences (styles) and I do my best to meet those preferences, however many projects are costly. When I cannot a afford a project for all learners, I perform a demonstration, however, the students miss out on the hands-on engagement, which increases their understanding of the concept being taught. I teach 6, 7, 8th grade science. All my classes have students with learning disabilities, and majority of my classes have speaker of another language (ESOL). This has presented an additional element of planning, since many of these students do not understand written, or verbal English. But they sure get the experiments!! My students are AWESOME. They are extremely willing to learn, and participate in the variety of tools I use in our classroom.
