Each of these materials would help update and grow our guard program. To start, the flag bags are a necessity that our program has been lacking. Each student is responsible for anywhere from 3-5, 6ft flags, a wooden rifle and/or a stainless steel saber. Right now we are keeping our equipment all together with bungee cords. This is not safe or feasible with COVID-19 regulations. It also has become an issue when transporting equipment to and from school and for competitions, as the silk flags have been torn and stained. The speaker is needed for our indoor semester. Our current rolling speaker only has one working wheel. We need a transportable speaker for competitions and right now we cannot use the one we have. Finally, the 3 sabers are needed to grow our program. We currently have 6 sabers, but at least 10 students who have the to potential to learn and perform with this piece of equipment. All of these items are greatly needed for this team to be safe and successful in a very competitive field.
