These materials will be used to practice real life scenarios inside the classroom. The use of the cash registers will let students practice mastering independent counting skills, as well as hands on training for jobs they'll begin interviewing for in the spring. The ATMs will help our students begin to build a foundation of financial literacy and understanding the technology they'll need to be independent. The money skills games and magnetic money board will add more depth to current instruction, allowing the teacher and paraeducators to work at a more individualized level for the students that need extra support. Prior to this school year only a small number of students in the district were eligible for a job and life skills program, but our school believes that all of our students need access to this in order to prepare for life after school. Thank you for being a part of their next step.
