Please help my first-grade class experience the world of books in a new way! We would like to use a listening center to listen to letter names and sounds, and authentic literature. Books are so exciting and recorded versions will engage my little learners. This project will help my students learn by allowing them to practice phonics and fluency at a listening center station. Emergent readers need additional support in reading after the COVID-19 pandemic. This purchase will help students with NVACS standard R.L.1.3g recognize and read grade-appropriate irregularly spelled words. The listening centers will provide a structured approach to phonics and decoding. Students will also use it to explore real authentic literature. This will help first graders become fluent readers!
