Literacy and creating fun, hands-on, and engaging experiences for my students are the two most important things to me as a teacher. When students are engaged in their learning, they are making meaning, and when they are making meaning, they are learning. It's vital to me that students have fun in the classroom, especially in primary, because the love of learning that they develop at a young age will carry them through their educational careers and set them up for their lifelong learning journey. It is also so important to me that ALL students are given access and opportunities so that they may have the tools and strategies they need to be successful.
