Students at my school site come from a inner-city region with elevated levels of crime, drug use, gang activity, poverty, and dropout rates. Regardless of this observation, many students have formed an identity regarding how much they value their own education. Therefore, as I plan and execute lessons, I attempt to incorporate messages of the value of hard work, the merit in education, and why the content is relevant to their future endeavors and success.

About my class
