Several of my students do not own a book. Some of the sets I've chosen will be used as a take home library option. I want my students to find the magic, mystery, and adventure of what is possible when reading a book. I want them to find a love for reading and literacy that happens inside of a book. It seems that holding a book in your hands is becoming a thing of the past and literacy is taking a back seat to some children's lives. I hope to give my students more options for finding how important literacy is.
