In second grade, students begin learning about money. They learn how to make change and how to use money in the real world. I would like to have a reward system that utilizes fake money so that students can have a more hands-on experience. The items I am hoping to get are either containers to hold some of the prizes, the fake money, or the prizes themselves. Students will use these items to learn how to save money to buy bigger items, how to make change, and how to determine if they have the correct amount of money. I hope that by having rewards that appeal to the students, they will become more interested and engaged with learning about money and the economy. This is my first year teaching, so I am starting from scratch. I would really appreciate any help in creating a fun learning experience for my class!
