The materials in this project are for two learning activities. You will be helping to provide my students with an exciting book, Fantastic Mr. Fox, which will allow my students who struggle with accessing the reading materials a high interest text that they won't want to put down. To assist them with reading it, we will be reading together in-person. Each student will have their own copy, so they can follow along. This practice will help them build fluency and increase their engagement and love for reading. By reading together, students who struggle with reading gain access to a text that they would not be able to on their own. Reading as a class also gives students a chance to have book discussions with their peers, increasing their comprehension. The texts on global warming will give students the opportunity to continue growing their discussion skills and critical thinking. They will be able to learn about different topics that are currently impacting us. They can also learn how they can be activists in their community and make a change. All of these materials will help me foster a challenging, supportive, and exciting learning environment for all of the students in my classroom. Thank you for your support!
