This is my first year teaching and a classroom rug is an essential place in our classroom, where most of our learning takes place. We start and end our day on our classroom rug. We use the classroom rug to have morning meetings, listen to read alouds, participate in whole-group activities, mini-lessons, and center time. The carpet is a home inside a classroom, fostering learning, and creativity. Currently, my classroom has hard floors. This rug will be a great addition to my classroom. It will make our classroom fun and inviting, giving students a chance to read, grow, and learn together. Help me give my students a meeting place to develop our classroom community.
