My students are English learners who are low in their language acquisition skills. They are 100% eligible for free lunch due to their economic status. They do not have access to good reading at home and rely on me to provide them this experience. Many arrive at school as early as 6:00 am and leave as late as 6:00 pm. This makes me feel super responsible for all their needs, not just the academics.
