The products I have chosen will allow students to be more comfortable in their learning environment. I've also added some items to assist many of my neurodivergent students as well. Students are finding it difficult to readjust to being at school every day, so I want to make this transition as easy as possible for them. These items will allow all of my students to be more comfortable and motivated during class, as well as increase participation. They will have more access to classroom technology, charging, and better quality video. This will support my students in the new technology-based environment this school year and in years to come. Many of my students come into my class after missing a meal. By providing some simple breakfast/lunch options, they can come into my class without worrying about hunger. Many of them also have issues keeping their Chromebook charged. There are not enough accessible charging places for them. Having them move out of their seats to charge is not ideal when dealing with seating charts for Covid contact tracing. A number of my students are neurodivergent and would benefit from having some kind of fidget toy to use during class. Students have been much more active during formative assessment games when offering some kind of prize, so I want to expand the kinds of prizes available. I think some students enjoy candy, while others will enjoy the stickers I've chosen. The seating options will be a welcome addition to my classroom as well. The desks are often comfortable and I'd like to provide an alternative for students during/after class. I've done my best to decorate my classroom, but I think that the posters will add much more diversity to my own decorations and give something for students to feel more at home.
