These materials will be very useful and helpful in making teaching and learning more engaging and interesting to my students. It will be of great help in providing more engaging and appropriate learning materials and opportunities in making sure that the specific needs in the individualized education plan (IEP) of every student in my class will be provided. When we were in distance education, I have been sending home printed packets which are all in black and white. Most of my students have communication challenges and mostly rely on pictures associated with words. Reading will be more engaging and learning will be more easier when materials are printed in color. Also, most of my students are struggling readers and pictures and visuals are less intimidating for them than a typical book. The tablet will also be a great reinforcer for my students that they can work for by showing appropriate behavior and also teaching them that their school provided Chromebook will not be used to have free time but to do school assigned work. They can work on their behavior goals and earn time to use it. It is also a way of making sure that being back in person in school will be more fun and the transition from home (distance education) to school (in person) will be easy for everyone.
