The past 19 months have been challenging. Students with disabilities start with skill deficits that are below grade level. So we must start where students are and celebrate progress. As well as supporting their general well-being with some healthy snacks to be shared and create community, these headphones, iPad, and scholastic library books will increase access to the instructional level text as well as grade-level curriculum. The standards we work on daily include word study, in which we analyze word makeup as well as using context clues. We read to identify central ideas and supporting details. We discuss with each other theme and purpose, while writing with relevant evidence and logical reasoning.
