This project is for the purpose of keeping the classroom well lit, stocked, and clean. The lights create a beautiful ambient look that my students love, they are always suggesting I should put up more! I always tell them: I just don't have the money for it! My students love being in my classroom and have always said they feel safe! I want to make the classroom even more welcoming and a place of refuge for my kids. Also, as a first-year teacher, many times I haven't eaten during lunch because I've needed to finish some work, and then the last 15 minutes rush out across the school to the nearest microwave and by the time it heats up and cools down, I don't have enough time to finish eating it. Since eating will help me be better for my kids, I want to prioritize that too! Having a microwave in my room would be a huge help!
