There is nothing better than a Friday afternoon with your Scholastic News Magazine! My students love Scholastic News because it has engaging videos, fun, soft spoken narrators, and fun games they can earn if they are focused the whole lesson! Scholastic News will be a great introduction to nonfiction text features for my first graders. They will also be exploring topics in a way that makes them feel involved (each issue is designed just for them!) and responsible for their work. As a teacher, I've loved using Scholastic News and would love to afford that to my students!
