During the school closures and while participating in distance learning, my 2nd graders missed out on the hands-on learning done in class. I will create math games, centers, and hand-on activities for my students with these tools. Being able to provide these math tools and keeping them stored in the classroom to be readily available will allow my students to become independent learners and help fill some of the learning gaps in our curriculum. The specific standards these math tools will support are 2.OA.A, 2.NBT.A and 2.NBT.B. All of my students are looking forward to coming to school to be together in person and I am looking forward to helping them grow!
