My students will not personally hold these books themselves; rather, I'll be reading these books to them. My students come alive when I do read-alouds during our reading block, so I know these books will certainly get their attention when I read them during our math block. Many of my students learn through stories and visualizing scenarios. We all know that when we read, we create our own pictures in our heads. I know that these books will help my students better understand various math concepts as we go through the school year. Each book is tied to a specific skill, like mental addition strategies or counting to 120, that my students need to learn while they are with me this year. I'm so excited to incorporate these books into our daily learning. Thank you for taking the time to read about my project!
