In speech therapy, my students work towards their academic standards through individualized objectives that lead to success. My students are ready for hands-on learning as they return to the school campus. My distance education students need additional materials to successfully reach their goals in the home environment. Help give my students the interactive materials they need to achieve super social skills and superb speech! My students are motivated to improve their social skills now more than ever. Being away from their peers was difficult and managing their ever changing emotions was a challenge. The Little SPOT series will be utilized to teach students emotional regulation and social skills at their individual levels. The conversation activities and cooperative games will give students the opportunity to practice the social skills they are learning in therapy. Distance education students need social and emotional learning opportunities with hands-on materials. The printer and laminating sheets will be utilized to make activities and worksheets that can be sent home to families to utilize. Digital materials such as worksheets and activities/game can be printed and sent home to families that cannot access them online. Non-digital materials such as game boards or self-made activities can be scanned and emailed to families. I can also scan class work and send to families so that they may see the work that is being completed by their students. I will send new crayons and a stress ball to each family to utilize during instruction. My students are on their way to social/emotional success! These new materials and hands-on activities will give students individualized learning in a group setting.
