For a week of working hard, my students are rewarded every Friday with "Tech Fridays." We focus on learning coding with littleBits STEAM Kits and Sphero Robots. The students look forward to Tech Fridays and ask for them to be more often. This excitement and enthusiasm drives their motivation for learning. However, for the items I have been given, I do not have enough resources to charge them in the classroom. We will often only be able to use a few items while the others are charging up. The charging ports would allow for more students to participate at one time. The coding kits would allow for students to see a visual goal for their coding assignment (almost like a map to follow). They would then be able to watch their Robot follow the directions on the kit laid out before them. Both challenging and creative!
