My pre-K inclusion classroom is in great need of a new color printer and some ink cartridges. We must wait a week to get materials printed in black and white. This new printer will benefit all students in my classroom. We will be able to print the materials needed for the students immediately. The learning for students can begin learning on the same day and not a week later. A color printer could improve the way students learn. Different colors send different messages to the brain, whether it is the calming effect of blue and green, or the omen of red. Thus, it comes as no surprise that scientists have found evidence that using color in education is highly useful for advanced cognitive learning. To help students retain information better, teachers are increasingly utilizing color printers to print out classroom materials. Especially with younger students, educators say that the infusion of color in worksheets, books, and activities significantly improves participation. Additionally, the printer will be used to print instructional materials, progress reports, power points. Differentiation is the key to success for my students. A color printer will improve my students' learning regardless of the learning (In-person or Distance learning) situation we are in. During distance learning, a color printer will allow me to present my virtual lessons in a more colorful and engaging manner as I share my resources with my students via Zoom. The printer will allow me to print differentiated materials to meet the needs of all my learners. Having a color printer in the classroom with ink will help my students be successful tremendously. Your donation will give my students these needed resources to keep our classroom running smoothly and effectively all year while watching our learning gains grow.
