My students will use these stress reducing items both at home and on campus. Having something to put their nervous energy into helps them refocus and concentrate on the task at hand as well in most cases make speaking in front of the class or to their social worker less terrify. I have been purchasing stress balls and fidget toys for the past two years on my own. Kids love them and ask for new ones when they have worn out the one they had. Students keep them in their backpack and show them with pride to other classmates.
