By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Hands-on manipulatives are essential in learning, especially in kindergarten. We need more activities to better serve our students. We implement reading and math workshops in our classroom, and a huge component of this is using independent, hands-on manipulatives for their learning. Giving my students these hands on opportunities will not only improve their phonics and reading skills, but enhance their social and fine motor skills. These kids are very eager to learn, but we are lacking some of the supplies to better support their learning.
